Jump Alberta is pleased to welcome Linda Allen and Joan Curtin to Amberlea Meadows for the 2017 Jump Alberta Symposium, November 18th and 19th. In addition to successful riding and coaching careers spanning decades, Linda and Joan bring with them years of judging, course design and young horse development experience. Join us this November!

With six decades in equestrian sport, Linda’s experience includes riding internationally and training through to the Grand Prix level prior to a riding career ending injury. She has since turned her focus to Course Designing, leading to working in this capacity on four Continents, including designing for the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta, and the 1992 World Cup Finals in Del Mar, CA. She was appointed Technical Delegate for the 1994 World Equestrian Games and the 1999 Pan American Games, as well as multiple World Cup Finals. Currently, her major activities include Judging FEI and National competitions, along with frequent Riding and Jumping Clinics throughout the U.S. and abroad. In addition, Linda is actively involved in the development of Young Jumping Horses and Riders in the United States, serving as president of the Young Jumper Championships and Jumper Futurity, and founding the Young Horse Trainers School in conjunction with Julie Winkel and Jose Alejos.

With 50 years of experience as a professional horsewoman in the hunter/jumper industry in the US, Joan boasts an exceptional record, showing hunters and jumpers and coaching winners in all divisions. The founder of the Northwest Sport Horse Breeders Association, Joan was also one of the pioneers of the International Hunter Futurity, acting as President in 1988 and 1989. Additionally, she has served on the Zone 9 USEF committee. Today, Joan manages Select Sales, offering discriminating buyers the finest selection of European and domestically bred hunters and jumpers already showing in the US and has attained USEF “R” status in Hunters, Equitation, Jumpers and Sport Horse breeding.
